| Electronic Timing Board
The new revised timing board, launched at the
beginning of the 2007 season, has been built to conform with the
new IMSA, ACO and FIA regulations. It contains the latest LED technology
combined with our own revised and upgraded software. Using a very
high quality yellow LED, the 4 available lines of text contain 2800
LED’s. This very powerful lit board enables the driver to
clearly see the information from nearly a quarter of a mile away
whilst doing speeds in excess of 180mph.
The new board is the result of extensive development
over the last 18 months and has culminated in a seamless integration
of sophisticated user software with robust electronic design. It
has quickly established itself as simply the best timing board now
available.
Not only is it ideal for endurance racing, but
also for ordinary daytime racing. The board is far more visible
than a conventional hand held device as it is equipped with four
levels of LED brightness for night time driving through to the ultra-bright
level for visibility in the midday sun.
European Version
For the European market, the board is driven
by a standard laptop that has our mimic board software installed.
It allows the user to either enter the information through a manual
setting, where any text can be entered, or it can be set to automatic
which allows very quick race display updates. The software allows
you to record the information from every lap and also allows you
to set the instructions to flash on and off.
USA Version
The American version is built with an American
transformer allowing the voltage to be dropped to 110v and can be
set to run on a wide area network either with a radio device or
laptop to laptop.
A voltage transformer may be required when racing
in various countries.

The European board can be made to the American dimensions if required.
Each line of information has characters that are 150mm high. For
larger boards we produce a 200mm high character.
We also produce a fitting kit that allows you to attach
this to a pit perch and for the board to slide in and out. However,
there are a number of variations and clients can decide how they
want to see the board mounted. A high quality padded bag is available
for protection and transportation.
For one off races, we may well be able to hire this unit - if booked
well in advance. Backlit Timing Board
Mainly used at one off endurance races, Showtrax also produce a
standard backlit timing board. This takes conventional numbers,
letters and instructions. This is again normally available to hire.
