Racing Optics Tear Off Windscreens
Showtrax International are pleased to announce that we are now offering full training facilities in the art of moulding and installing protective tear off windscreens for both teams and distributors alike. This follows intensive training that has taken place in America and is now available in Europe. Teams are being encouraged to learn how to mould screens for their own race cars in order to keep costs down and give them the ability to install on track if necessary.
We are also now actively looking for distributors to cover Scandinavia, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and part of Italy. Distributors must have good contacts within the motorsports industry and be prepared to commit to the Racing Optics Windscreen programme.

New Premises for Showtrax International
Showtrax International are delighted to announce the move to new premises. The new building comprises of workshops and storage, a 1800 sq feet fully equipped graphics department and offices with showroom.

The new Showtrax building is the first of its kind in the UK to use throughout - the latest in LED technology with computer controlled switches. One of the features allows the company to control lighting throughout the building from a remote destination. Osram – World leaders in LED lighting will be highlighting the Showtrax building in some of their promotional literature to demonstrate the enormous savings that will be made in energy usage.

London Motorsport Show Showtrax International were pleased to exhibit at the London Motorsport Show at Brands Hatch on the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of November. The Production team designed and built a stunning Pit Garage set-up showing off both the Standard walling system and the new Seamless walling system, displaying the fantastic quality of our in house large-format digital printer. Also on show was the new LED Carbon Fibre Powerhood that has already proved popular with teams from some major racing series. The Driver/Rider shelves at the rear of the garage also get lots of attention as teams discuss the different options available to them in customising, from helmet cooling fans to ambient under shelf lighting. To finish the garage off in great style we were kindly loaned a Dodge Viper from Moore Racing that managed to pull the crowds into the pit for a good look. The Viper (without an engine due to being halfway through repair) succeeded in looking the most poised and menacing of all the cars at the show. A big thanks to Richard and Thomas for delivering the car in showroom condition and then collecting it on a cold wet Sunday evening. The big surprise of the show was a young racer by the name of Zoe Wenham of A2Z Motorsport, who was lucky enough to take Mark and Nick out for some hot laps on the Indy circuit. Zoe, driving her Saxmax Citroen Saxo, took Mark out for a couple of dry laps on Saturday and Nick for no less than ten wet laps on Sunday. The word impressive is an understatement when it comes to Zoe’s driving. She attacked Paddock Hill with speed and accuracy and the skill of a seasoned driver. Her consistent lap times and calm control spoke volumes of a real racing talent, and all this was compounded by the fact Zoe is just 14! Zoe will be competing in Saxmax and Junior Rotax Kart Racing in 2009 and is looking to run in the Clio Cup in future years. Definitely one to look out for.

GP2 Asia series
Showtrax have a full support crew on the entire GP2 Asia series. The guys will be looking after the carbon fibre repair work on the cars as and when they get damaged and also will be wrapping the spare parts in vinyl and adding styling and decals.

A1GP Season
The crew on the A1GP series have been extremely busy throughout the first half of the season. With the sprint race and the feature race only 3 hours apart this season, it has meant working at very fast speeds to get any damaged cars ready for the grid. Many more teams have seen how more efficient and cost effective vinyl wrapping is, as against painting and this again has contributed towards the larger crew that we have had to put on.
